With 20 years in the entertainment industry, Donis has helmed a variety of television productions from development, production and post. Holding both executive and creative positions responsible for the creative oversight of industry firsts and award-winning / nominated programs. Delivering a variety of genres from docusoap, true crime, biography, social experiment, renovation, lifestyle and competition. Credits include Discovery Channel, MotorTrend, FOX, HGTV, A&E, MTV, FYI, Reelz, Paramount +, Super Channel, AMC Networks, Universal Pictures among others. Most recently he was credited with Concept By, Executive Producer, Producer, Director and Editor for a true crime series titled O.J. Simpson: Blood, Lies & Murder – currently streaming on Peacock.

Donis got his directing opportunity in 1998 with the pioneers of CGI animation – Mainframe Entertainment, directing the #1 rated animated television series, Transformers; Beast Machines for FOX / Hasbro. Following its success came Action Man, airing on FOX and Co-Produced & Distributed by Suban Entertainment. 2001 brought on Sony’s International hit series Heavy Gear, originally airing on The WB and later acquired by Netflix. In 2002 he was the creative producer for Electronic Arts gaming titles… NASCAR Thunder and Madden NFL featuring Minnesota Vikings QB Daunte Culpepper. Madden NFL became the highest selling sports title of the year and received universal acclaim, with GameZone giving the title a 9.5 out 10 and was the runner-up for GameSpots annual award for best title.

Fast-forward, Donis has worked on a variety of projects… from a virtual reality / documentary series titled Bisping: Full Count featuring UFC Champion Michael Bisping – a UFC first, to prominent events such as the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games, producing the Biathlon and Cross-Country Ski events. He created and sold his first TV program in 2012, Livin’ Loud, airing on MTV – taking on multiple roles from Executive Producer, Showrunner and Director. In 2016 he was nominated for two Leo Awards for the A&E Network / Blue Ant Media TV series Cabin Truckers – Best Program & Direction in a Reality | Lifestyle Series. The 13-part series has aired in 112 territories and was Blue Ant Media’s #3 best-selling series. In 2013 Donis was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award – Best Direction in a Reality | Lifestyle Series for the Discovery Channel TV series Saw Dogs, taking viewers behind the high-stake world of master chainsaw carving. MotorTrends first digital custom car series titled Under Pressure: 9K – focusing on the work of 9K Racing, not only diving into the world of high stake builds but a portal into the culture. Executive Produced Universal Pictures theatrical release, Bisping: The Michael Bisping Story, winning the 2021 Leo Award for Best Feature Length Documentary. Producing and Directing HGTV’s 40 Year Old Property Virgin where couples look to purchase their first home. AKA, overstaying there welcome with mom and dad.

Following the success of O.J. Simpson: Blood, Lies & Murder, Donis has been developing a number of projects from unscripted to scripted witha variety of companies. One of which, Electric Panda, together they’ve developed a scripted television series based on Vicky Hamilton’s memoir Appetite for Dysfunction: A Cautionary Tale. A Grammy Award winner, Vicky discovered and managed Guns N’ Roses, Motley Crue, Poison among others – having over 250 million in record sales. Dan O’Keefe  who’s worked  on shows such as Seinfeld  and Silicon Valley  was brought on to write the pilot. Recently Donis has wrapped the development and interviews for the true crime series Los Ski Mask Boyz… Masked behind the walls of the underworld comes the chilling true stories of money, blood and vengeance.
